My Story

Thanks for checking out The Northbound Movement! I’m excited to bring this platform to like-minded people and share my passion for helping others find their way in the world of fitness and nutrition. I grew up playing hockey where I learned the value of discipline, teamwork and commitment. Although a professional career wasn’t in the cards, those lessons stayed with me and ultimately led me into a career in law enforcement and I’ve spent nearly the last twenty years in public safety. My career in public safety has strengthened my discipline, attention to detail and commitment to serving others.

I met my wife Adrianna around the beginning of 2020 and we have a blended family with six kids, ranging in ages from 4 to 22, so life is very busy! Being a husband, father and working in public safety has taught me that fitness has to fit into real life - not the other way around. That’s the philosophy behind The Northbound Movement.

I found my love for endurance sports around 2013 and since then have done several races - gravel bike, mountain bike and triathlon. For several years my training was focused on swimming, biking and running but as my passion has grown more for biking that’s now where I primarily spend my training time these days.

Why I Started Coaching

Over the years I’ve experienced firsthand how exercise can reduce stress, improve mental health and provide confidence both on and off the job. Coaching became a natural extension of this because I wanted to help others experience those same benefits.

Qualifications

In the Spring of 2026 I obtained my Precision Nutrition Level 1 coaching certification. Because of my training and racing I have always had an interest in nutrition and how it plays into my lifestyle. Earning this certification gave me an evidence-based framework to help clients create sustainable nutrition habits that fit their lives.

In April 2026 I obtained my CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification. This certification strengthened my understanding of movement, functional strength and coaching people safely through exercise.

Let’s Build Your Path

I don’t believe fitness should take over your life - I believe it should make your life better. Whether your goal is to lose weight, get stronger, complete your first 5k, ride farther on your bike or simply have more energy to keep up with your family, I’m here to help you build habits that last.

The Northbound Movement isn’t about perfection. It’s about making steady progress, one step at a time and finding a path you can follow for years to come. I’d be honored to help you find yours.
